Georgetown's New Stores and Restaurants: Where the Fall 2026 Jobs Will Be

WASHINGTON, DC — Georgetown is in the middle of a busy run of store and restaurant openings. Uniqlo, Bombas and a Northern Thai spot called Alfie's have already opened their doors since mid-August, and Kith, Pop Mart, Edikted and a new Michael Rafidi pizzeria are lined up behind them on M Street and Prospect Street. For anyone who wants a retail or restaurant job in Georgetown, fall 2026 is the time to have a resume ready.

At least six new businesses have opened in Georgetown since late summer, with four more announced for M Street and Prospect Street. None has posted a hiring headcount yet, so the edge goes to people who apply early.

What Has Already Opened in Georgetown

The biggest arrival is Uniqlo, which opened August 28 at 3262 M St. NW in the former J.Crew space. The Georgetowner puts it at 22,618 square feet, a floor that needs sales associates, stockroom workers and fitting-room staff across long weekend shifts.

Bombas, the sock and apparel brand co-founded by Georgetown University graduate Randy Goldberg, opened August 14 at 1400 Wisconsin Ave. NW, in the old Dolce Vita storefront. Nearby, Alfie's opened September 2 at 1228½ 31st St. NW. Chefs Alex McCoy and Justin Ahn run it as a Northern Thai restaurant and natural wine bar.

The Georgetowner and The Georgetown Metropolitan also list Delhi Belly (1560 Wisconsin Ave. NW), Café Tulúm (3210 Grace St. NW) and Flavor Hive (3287½ M St. NW) as recent openings. New restaurants often keep hiring well past opening day.

Who's Coming Next on M Street

Kith, 3040 M St. NW. The New York streetwear brand has filed plans for the three-story former Ford dealership at Thomas Jefferson Street, UrbanTurf reports. A Kith Treats cereal and ice cream bar is expected, so jobs could include food service. No opening date yet.
Pop Mart, 3221 M St. NW. The designer toy retailer behind the Labubu craze is taking the former Barbour space. No opening date has been announced.
Edikted, 3135 M St. NW. The women's apparel brand takes the former Allbirds space. The shop already appears on Edikted's official store directory, so call or stop by before assuming it's open.
Bizzeria, 3246 Prospect St. NW. Chef Michael Rafidi's pizza spot is expected this fall.

None of these businesses has announced how many people it will hire or what its Georgetown jobs pay, and we won't guess. Openings are when stores hire the most at once, so watch each brand's careers page, apply as soon as a Georgetown posting appears and follow up in person on a weekday morning.

A note on the commute: Georgetown has no Metro station. The closest is Foggy Bottom–GWU, about a 15- to 20-minute walk from the M Street shops, so plan for a bus or a walk on late closing shifts.
